Hi Everyone,

It’s April already! And the news at my house is…we’ve moved!

We didn’t move far, just 18 ½ miles from our house on a hill in Southeast Portland, Oregon to a roomy condo on Hayden Island in Northwest Portland just across the river from Vancouver, Washington. Our previous home was two stories with a lots of terraced landscaping. And we wanted to simplify and cut back on the yard work. So here were are all on one level with a nice big balcony—and the only plants we have now are the kind that grow in pots.

I’m exhausted from the move but loving it here. And I’m including a few pictures of my new office. I’m thrilled to announce that I am now the proud owner of a Varidesk, which raises and lowers at the touch of a button so I can do a lot of my work standing up. Writing can be hard on the body and changing position regularly helps minimize back and hip pain. Now I can spend half my day on my feet—and I love that already. Will share more news and pictures of the condo and the island as time goes by.
